Creative Expression: Going Deeper with Your Coaching Clients

Are you interested in going beyond "talking about" in coaching sessions to unlock deeper client awareness and understanding?  Are you curious about using creative expression in your coaching?  Even if you are not an artist, do you want to learn techniques and build skills to bring more creativity to your coaching?

 In this experiential workshop, with plenty of application and practice, we'll explore four modes of creative expression that can help your clients unlock dilemmas, aid in identifying personal values, promote self-discovery, and provide a path forward.

 You'll learn, experience first-hand, and experiment with creative techniques such as using mandala through collage, 3-D expression of “who I am as me,” partnering with nature, and evoking new awareness using systemic constellations, and more. You'll adapt a set of these creative techniques to make them your own, and try them out in practice coaching rounds. Key learnings will be linked to the Gestalt coaching stance and the International Coach Federation (ICF) core competencies.

Learning Objectives:
In this workshop, you will have a first-hand experience in

1. Deepening your impact on client understanding and self-discovery

2. Learning and applying different creative approaches for unlocking client potential using art as the basis

3. Building competence and confidence in experimenting with different creative expression modes with clients

4. Compiling an inventory of practical creative expression techniques to work with clients

5. Honing the ICF core competencies of Co-creating the Relationship, Creating Awareness, and Facilitating Learning and Results

Program Requirements

1. Successfully complete the different creative expression modules.

2. Develop own creative expression technique and process for use in own coaching.

3. Practice coaching using own creative expression process.

4. Be able to link the ICF competencies to expanded skills using creative expression.

5. Full attendance for all program hours.
